Tough Night for the
Braves
The Braves hosted the visiting Bethesda
Big Train on a cool evening at Braves Field. James
Giuletti (Binghamton) started on the mound for the Braves.
Big Train took an early lead, but the Braves tied it up in the 2nd
inning. Beau Taylor (UCF) walked, Connor
Mullee (St. Peter's) hit a sac bunt to move the runner,
Josh Alford (VCU) hit a ball deep to right and
B. Taylor scored. A tough 3rd and 4th innings,
saw the Big Train scoring 7 runs to go ahead 1 - 8. Josh
Constable (Radford) came in to relieve Giuletti
in the 4th to keep any additional runs from scoring. Big Train scored
3 more runs in the 5th. In the 7th inning, Ryan Brecko
(GMU) relieved Constable on the mound. In the 8th,
Jason Kuhn (JMU) relieved Constable to
pitch. The Braves stranded runners in the 6th and 7th innings. In
the 9th inning, Matt Simone (Binghamton) left first
base to pitch and relieve Kuhn. In the bottom of
the 9th, the Braves scored another run. Despite singles by Mullee,
Billy Rumpke (Columbia), Shannon Mark (CNU),
and Zach Leach (UNCG) the Braves lost the game
2 12.
All-Star Game for League - July 15th
Rain, Rain - Go Away!!
We have had multiple games rained out lately, and another round
of rescheduled games are now in place. Here are the latest changes:
Friday, July 3 - Home game is now a DH, beginning
at 5 pm. Game 1 will be the make-up game for June 11th. Game 2 will
be the game already scheduled on this date.
Monday, July 6 - Game @ Alexandria Aces, 5 pm.
Game 1 will be a make-up of the June 29th game. The regularly scheduled
game will follow.
Tuesday, July 7 - Game @ Rockville Express, 5 pm
- this will be the suspended game from June 10th.
Summer Camp Information Posted
Interested in attending Braves Summer Camp? For boys and girls,
ages 7 - 14 who want to develop and improve their baseball skills.
Five sessions will be offered this summer. There are openings in

GOLF Classic - July 9th
Our 3rd Annual Braves Golf Classic will be held
on Thursday, July 9th. Tee-off will be at 9 am
